Special & Oversized Items

Special Items & Additional Capacity

Pushchairs

• Pushchairs can be accommodated in most vehicles.

• As a general guide, one pushchair is equivalent to one large suitcase, so it should be considered within your total luggage allowance.

Wheelchairs

• Vehicles can carry one foldable wheelchair within the luggage space.

• For non-folding or specialist mobility equipment, we recommend requesting a larger vehicle to ensure safe transport.

Sports Equipment

• Items such as skis, snowboards, or surfboards require additional space and can only be transported in an XL vehicle.

Maximum length supported: up to 2.5 metres

• Items must be securely packed in protective cases

Musical Instruments

• Large instruments (e.g. cellos, guitars in hard cases) can be accommodated in XL vehicles only.

Maximum length: up to 2.5 metres

• Must be properly protected in a case

If you are unsure about fit, we recommend contacting us prior to booking at: Info@PrimeVoyageX.com

Fragile Items

• If you are travelling with fragile or valuable items, please add a note when booking.

• Your chauffeur will take extra care when loading and positioning your luggage.

Cabin / Hand Luggage

• Smaller bags may be placed in the front passenger area if required and if seating capacity allows.

Safety-First Loading Policy

To protect passengers and comply with UK private hire regulations, PrimeVoyageX applies the following standards:

Luggage must be stored in the boot (trunk) only
No luggage in passenger seats or footwells
Chauffeur must retain clear rear visibility
Vehicles are never overloaded beyond safe limits

Important: If luggage or passenger numbers exceed the booked vehicle's safe capacity, the chauffeur may politely decline to proceed until an appropriate solution is arranged.

Where possible, our team will:

• Upgrade the vehicle (subject to availability)

• Dispatch an additional vehicle

• Adjust the booking with minimal disruption

Frequently Asked Questions — Capacity & Vehicles

What happens if my luggage doesn't fit?

For safety reasons, chauffeurs cannot transport excess luggage in the cabin. We will attempt to arrange a larger or additional vehicle immediately, subject to availability and additional cost.

Do child seats reduce luggage capacity?

Child seats occupy passenger seats, not the boot. However, families travelling with prams or strollers are strongly advised to book a Premium MPV.

Can I hold small bags in the cabin?

Personal items such as handbags or laptops are permitted if they do not obstruct exits or footwells. All other luggage must be secured in the boot.

Are weight limits enforced?

We follow airline standards (typically 23–32kg per bag). Please notify us of unusually heavy equipment so we can prepare appropriately.

Is luggage capacity the same in electric vehicles?

Yes. Electric vehicles follow the same guaranteed fit rules to ensure consistency regardless of powertrain layout.

Still Unsure Which Vehicle to Choose?

Our operations team is available 24/7 to help assess passenger and luggage requirements before you book. Providing accurate details ensures a smooth, stress-free pickup every time.
